Laurel Canyon inspired Southern Rock Served In The Midwest
Greensboro is a Saint Louis, Missouri-area five-piece band paying tribute to the great “Country Rock” era of the mid to late 1970’s.
During that time, classic rock stations (such as St. Louis' KSHE-95) filled the airwaves with the sounds of acoustic guitars mixed with tasty electric licks and driving drum beats. The music married clean country sounds with a powerful rhythm section and rich harmonies.
Southern California and, specifically the Laurel Canyon, laid claim to many great songs from bands such as: Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, New Riders of the Purple Sage and Poco.
Our own midwestern area produced some of the greats of the day as well, including: Heartsfield, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils and Pure Prairie League.
At a Greensboro show, you will slip back into that 70s Country Rock scene, reminisce about your old cowboy boots and fringed jacket, and find yourself singing along to three-part harmonies.
Greensboro plays songs from bands such as:
America
Eagles
The Allman Brothers Band
Marshall Tucker Band
Jackson Browne
New Riders of the Purple Sage
And, don’t be surprised if you hear a few tunes made popular by more contemporary bands that were inspired by these wonderful artists of the 70s. Hope to see you at a show soon!
